I've been had

I was eating at Wendy's when a guy approached me and ask if I had a dollar to spare. My mind was full of thoughts, so without thinking, I just answered: "Would you like me to buy you a meal?"

After I paid, I just noticed that the guy had a really nice basketball sneakers. He didn't seem homeless at all! Well, darn it, I guess I've been had.

To top it off, when he had his hand full with a drink and a frozen dairy dessert he TOLD me to get him a straw. His exact words were "get me a straw, it's over there, get me a straw". I answered: "get your own straw dude"

Well, you win some, you lose some. This time I lose. But, my winnings been worth it :)

My lesson for today:

check out the dude
before you buy him (or her) food.
